Salvation. What is it? Does mankind need salvation? Have you ever wondered about salvation and if there is a "heaven", "hell", 'God' or 'Jesus Christ?' If salvation is an issue for you, then let the Bible explain it to you. Salvation began to be noticed in the Bible just after Adam and Eve committed sin. In Genesis 3:15, Christ is mentioned as the Savior of mankind. Jonah 2:9, 'Salvation is of the Lord.' Salvation is a gift not a reward, 'For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.' Ephesians 2:8-9. Salvation comes by the atonement of Christ, 'For the word of the cross is to those who are perishing foolishness, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.' I Corinthians 1:18. Christ established a certain pattern to be followed by everyone who wants to enjoy salvation.
